Earl Proctor

MT. PLEASANT - Earl Horton Proctor, 48, formerly of Mt. Pleasant, died Wednesday night at Grand Island, Neb.

He was born July 2, 1918, at Maloy, the son of Earl and Mary Wisdom Proctor. Mr. Proctor made his home in Mt. Pleasant for a number of years while working at the IAAP before transferring to Grand Island eight months ago. He is a veteran of World War II, a member of the First Methodist church and the American Legion.

Surviving: The wife; four sons and a daughter, Steve and Time, students at Iowa Wesleyan college, Elaine, at Mt. Pleasant, Don in Des Moines, and Danny at home; his mother, Mrs. Mary Proctor of Mt. Pleasant.

Services: Saturday 2 p.m. in the First Methodist church, Dendy Garrett and Bonifacio Mequi, pastors. The body will be at Crane funeral home Friday.

Earl Proctor

MOUNT PLEASANT - Earl Horton Proctor, 49, formerly of Mount Pleasant and Keosauqua, died 10:30 Wednesday night of a heart attack at Grand Island, Neb.

Employed at Burlington Ordnance Plant until a month ago when he was transferred to Grand Island. Active in Mount Pleasant American Legion baseball team there for number of years.

Among survivors are his widow, the former Esther Forbes of Keosauqua; three sons, Danny, Tim and Stephen, and one daughter, Elaine, all at home; another son, Donald of Des Moines; his mother, Mrs. Earl Proctor of Mount Pleasant.

Body will be taken to a funeral home in Mount Pleasant.
