July 1982Mildred Cahoon dies at 91
Mildred Cahoon, 91, of Mt. Pleasant, former Packwood resident, died Monday at Maple Leaf Health Care Center. She moved to Mt. Pleasant in 1972 from Packwood where she and her husband had formerly operated the lumber yard.
A private graveside service will be held at the convenience of the family with the Rev. Charles Tweed officiating. Friends may call as they desire until 9 p.m. today at Beatty Funeral Home in Mt. Pleasant.
Mrs. Cahoon was born Jan. 9, 1891 at Waterloo, Wis., the daughter of George and Emma Little Ames. On April 14, 1914 she married Vernon Cahoon, who died May 15, 1964. She was a member of Packwood United Methodist Church and a 50-year member of Order of Eastern Star at Fairfield.
Surviving are a daughter, Eleanor Almond of Mt. Pleasant, a granddaughter and a great-grandson.
