Dorothy L. McFarland, 84, of Keosauqua died at 8:50 a.m. Thursday, Feb. 10, 2000, at Van Buren County Hospital in Keosauqua.

The funeral service will be at 10 a.m. Monday at Keosauqua United Methodist Church with the Rev. Judith Shields officiating. Burial will be in Hillsboro Cemetery. Open visitation will begin at 3 p.m. Sunday at Pedrick Funeral Home in Keosauqua with family present from 7-8 p.m. Memorials to Van Buren County Ambulance Service or American Cancer Society may be left at the funeral home or mailed to the family at Route 2, Box 32A, Keosauqua 52565.

Mrs. McFarland was born Jan. 23, 1916, in Davis County, the daughter of Leo Guy and Lula Curts Boley. She married H. Orville Davis April 27, 1941, near Birmingham. He died in 1976. She married Keith McFarland Sept. 2, 1979, in Keosauqua. He died in 1989.

She graduated from Packwood High School and lived near Packwood. She also lived in Ozark County and Revere in Missouri; Lockridge; rural Van Buren County; and moved to Keosauqua in 1993.

She was a member of Keosauqua United Methodist Church and United Methodist Women. She also was a member of Hillsboro American Legion Auxiliary and Lockridge Keep Young Club.

Survivors include one brother, Leo G. Boley Jr. of Keosauqua.

In addition to her husbands; she was preceded in death by her parents; one son, Gail Lee Davis; one sister, Francis Dooley; and two brothers, David and Kenneth Boley.
