NeElma Roberts

NeElma Roberts, 78, of Fairfield, died at 10:05 p.m. Sunday, Feb. 21, 1993, at Parkview Care Center.

The service will be at 1:30 p.m. Wednesday at Behner Funeral Home with the Rev. John D. Boatman officiating. Burial will be in Hillsboro Cemetery at Hillsboro. Family visitation will be from 7 to 8 p.m. Tuesday. A memorial has been established to the American Diabetes Association.

Mrs. Roberts was born Nov. 9, 1914, at Swedesburg, the daughter of Gus and Edna Mae West Mills. She married Kenneth M. Roberts on May 6, 1933, in Fairfield. He died Nov. 29, 1986. A homemaker, she had lived most of her life in Fairfield. She was a member of First Baptist Church.

Surviving are a son, Lee of Galesburg, Ill.; two daughters, Neva North of Bonaparte, Dorothy Hendricks of Fort Collins, Colo.; seven grandchildren and three great-grandchildren. Two daughters, Mary and Sharon, and five brothers, Donald, Albert, Cleve, Paul and Robert, preceded her in death.
