Florence M. Millspaugh

LOCKRIDGE - Florence M. Millspaugh, 89, of the Lockridge community, died at 11:20 p.m. Monday, Feb. 12, 1996, at Henry County Health Center in Mount Pleasant.

The service will be at 10 a.m. Friday at First Baptist Church in Mount Pleasant, with the Rev. Dave Plooster officiating. Burial will be in Grant Cemetery west of Rome, Iowa. Open visitation begins at noon Thursday at Beatty Funeral Home in Mount Pleasant, with the family present from 7 to 8:30 that night. A memorial has been established.

Mrs. Millspaugh was born Oct. 29, 1906, in Castletown, Ill., the daughter of Wesley W. and Bessie Farden White. In 1926, she married William S. Millspaugh in Mount Pleasant. He died Aug. 31, 1972. She was a member of Friendly Neighbors Club in Mount Pleasant. She had lived in the Lockridge community for the past several years.

Surviving are two daughters, Mary Anderson and Patricia Willis, both of rural Mount Pleasant; an adopted son, Mike Millspaugh of Clarinda; 13 grandchildren; 15 great-grandchildren; four great-great-grandchildren; and a sister, Alda Dietters of Sugar Grove, Ill. A daughter and an infant son preceded her in death.
