Edwin Floyd Faris, 66, died Saturday at 10:30 A.M. in the Washington County Hospital after a short illness. Mr. Faris had lived in Brighton since 1914 and had formerly operated ready-to-wear stores in both Fairfield and Brighton.

Funeral services were held at 2:00 P.M. Tuesday in the Methodist Church with the Rev. Roger Williams and Rev. E. E. Voss in charge. Burial will be in Hillcrest Cemetery awaiting the arrival of a son who is in military service in Formosa.

Mr. Faris was born near Wayland April 6, 1892, a son of Edwin and Ella Gardner Faris. He was married to Leona Snyder December 29, 1927. Survivors include his wife, two sons, Benedict now in Formosa, and Billy Burton at home; one daughter, Mrs. Keith Nelson of Des Moines, one grandaughter, and one sister, Mrs. John Abramson of Des Moines. A twin brother preceded him in Death.
