Howard P. Watts, 87, Parkview Home, Wayland, formerly of the Trenton community, died Saturday, June 8, 1985, at 7:25 p.m. at the Henry County Health Center.
He was born June 25, 1897, west of Trenton, the son of Theodore and Jessie Morrison Watts. On Aug. 31, 1923, at Mt. Pleasant, he married Bessie Scarff who died Dec. 12, 1966.
Mr. Watts was a member of the Trenton United Methodist Church and Masonic Lodge, Wayland, No. 120. He was a retired farmer.
Surviving are one daughter, Mrs. Willis (Marjorie) Graber, Wayland; seven grandchildren; and 17 great-grandchildren.
His parents, one son, Harold, a sister Maude Matthews, one brother, James Watts, and two grandchildren preceded him in death.
Funeral services will be held Tuesday. June 11. at 10:30 a.m. at the Beatty Funeral Home, Mt. Pleasant. The Rev. Ed Miller will officiate with interment in Forest Home Cemetery.
Friends may call as they desire at the funeral home. A memorial has been established.
