Verda G. Swailes

Verda G. Swailes, 79, Mt. Pleasant, died Saturday, Sept. 16, 1989, at Henry County Health Center.

She was born Aug. 10, 1910, in Marshfield, Mo., the daughter of Jasper and Lillie Alexander Dill. She married Roy Swailes April 5, 1930, in Mt. Pleasant. He died Nov. 29, 1984.

She was a member of the Faith Lutheran Church, Mt. Pleasant.

Surviving are many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband; parents; a brother, Herschel; and three sisters, Lotus, Ellen and Pauline.

Funeral services will be 10:30 a.m. Tuesday at the Beatty-Wilkins Funeral Home, Mt. Pleasant, with the Rev. Maurice Lind officiating. Burial will be in Forest Home Cemetery, Mt. Pleasant.

A memorial has been established to the Faith Lutheran Church.
