FRANK ANTON SEITZ

Funeral services for Frank Anton Seitz, 93, who died at the Iowa Lutheran Hospital in Des Moines May 24, were held at the Weir-Cookes Funeral Home Monday, Nay 27, at 11 a.m. The Rev. Dr. C. Dendy Garrett, pastor of the first Methodist Church, officiated.

Mrs. Howard Messer was organist.

Bearers were Harold Davis, Robert Burns, Paul Burns, Francis Scott, Howard Stucker, and Roy Swailes.

Mr. Seitz was born March 25, 1875 in Purchau, Austria, the son of Anton and Anna Smutzer Seitz.

On October 2, 1906 he was married to Etta Mae Shumaker in Burlington. She predeceased him September 29, 1953.

Surviving are one son J. Max Seitz of Keokuk: two daughters, Mrs. David (Gladys) Barker of Mitchellville and Mrs. L. K. (Mary) Marshall of Thousand Oaks, Calif.; 11 grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.

One son, Francis J., one brother and one sister are deceased.

Mr. Seitz came to the United States in 1892 and was engaged in farming south of Mt. Pleasant for many years.
