Homer M. Scarff

Homer M. Scarff, 85, Rome, died Saturday, May 19, 1987, at his home.

He was born Sept. 2, 1904, in the White Oak community, the son of John and Lulu Messer Scarff. On Dec. 20, 1922, at Trenton, he married Georgia Coppock who died Aug. 28, 1986.

Mr. Scarff was a retired farmer of the White Oak community.

Surviving are two daughters, Mrs. George (Donna) Ensminger, Jr., Rome, and Mrs. Sherman (Bette) Watson, Lakeland, Fla.; three brothers, Edwin, Burlington; Larry, Mt. Pleasant; and Maurice, Glendora, Calif.; five grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren.

His parents, two sisters, Bertha McBeth and Grace Scarff, and three brothers, Leslie Arthur and Harry, also preceded him in death.

Funeral services will be held Tuesday, May 12, at 2 p.m. at the Trenton Missionary Church. The Rev. Alfred Dietz will officiate with burial in the Forest Home Cemetery.

Friends may call as they desire at the Beatty-Wilkins Funeral Home. A memorial has been established for either the White Oak or Trenton Missionary Churches.
