Auto Wreck Injuries Fatal

William Rogers, 28, of Racine avenue, Lenox Park, died in a Philadelphia hospital Wednesday of injuries suffered in an auto accident Tuesday night.

Rogers was a passenger in a car which skidded off the highway at Penndel, Pa., hurtled down an embankment and upset in a field Tuesday night, according to a dispatch from Philadelphia.

He had re-enlisted through the local navy recruiting office, was sworn in at Des Moines and sent to Philadelphia naval base receiving station Aug. 23.

His wife and daughter, Connie, remained in Burlington when he reported for naval duty. They were reported to have gone to the home of his wife's parents in Mt. Pleasant Wednesday. Roger's parents reportedly live in Brooklyn, N. Y.

MILITARY SERVICE HELD TUESDAY

Military service for William Rogers was held Tuesday at 10 a.m. at the Cookes-Lunning home. Rev. James W. Marlin officated, and John Ferrell sang "In the Garden" and "Beyond the Sunset." He was accompanied at the organ by
Fredric Gingrich.

The pallbearers were member of the Veterans of Foreign Wars organization. Burial was in Forest Home.
