Monday, 7 October 1946Mrs. Tom Parker Taken By Death
----------Mrs. Tom Parker, 77, died at her home on South Adams street Sunday evening at 6:20 after suffering a stroke last Thursday. She had been a resident here all her life, with the exception of a period spent in Kansas.
She is survived by her husband, by a son, Howard of Glendale, Calif., and a daughter, Mrs. Glen Sudduth, of Philo, Ill, also by seven brothers and sisters, John, William and Hiram Smith, Mrs. Fred P. Williams, and Mrs. Robert Parker of Mt. Pleasant, Mrs. Rosie Weller of Yakima, Wash., and Grant Smith of Osceola.

Monday, 14 October 1946Funeral Held For Mrs. Tom Parker
----------The funeral service for Mrs. Tom Parker was held Wednesday afternoon at two o'clock at the Cookes Funeral Home.
The Rev. Stanley A. Anderson, pastor of the First Baptist church, officiated at the service. Marvin Long sang and Mrs. Ethel Winter played the organ.
Six nephews served as pallbearers, and burial was at Forest Home cemetery.
