John W. "Bill" Parker, 80, 304 N. Jackson, Mt. Pleasant, died Saturday May 25, 1991, at 10:15 p.m. at the Henry County Health Center.
He was born Aug. 18, 1910, in Mt. Pleasant, the son of Robert and Nancy Smith Parker.
Working for the Henry County Maintenance Department for 37 years, he retired in July 1977. He was a life member of the National Rifle Association and a supporting member of the Boy Scouts.
Survivors include several cousins.
Preceding him in death were his parents.
Funeral services will be held Wednesday, May 29, at 2 p.m. at the Beatty Funeral Home, with Wendell Dodds officiating. Interment will be in Forest Home Cemetery.
Friends may call as they desire at the funeral home. There will be no set family visitation. A memorial has been established to the Henry County Health Center ambulance service.
