Mr. Robert Parker, 85, of 304 W. Warren, Mt. Pleasant, Iowa, died about 3 p.m., Thursday, June 10, 1971, at the Henry County Memorial Hospital.

He was born Dec. 11, 1885 at Iuka, Kansas, the son of John and Mary Hedrick Parker. On Se pt. 23, 1907, he was united in marriage to Nancy Smith, who preceded him in death one month a go, May 9, 1971. Mr. Parker was of the Methodist faith and a retired farmer before moving t o Mt. Pleasant.

Surviving are 1 son, John William, Mt. Pleasant, 1 brother, W. W. Parker, Alamosa, Colorado, 1 sister, Maude Hoepner, Redwood Falls, Minn., and many nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday, from Beatty-Jennings Funeral Chapel in Mt. Pleasant. The Rev. Carl Wilson of the First United Methodist church will officiate. Internment in the Forest Home Cemetery.
