Marvin D. Messer

Marvin D. Messer, 36, died Sunday, June 20, 1971, about 9:30 p.m. following an illness of the past several months.

The son of Lyzell and Ruby McNeeley Messer, he was born July 8, 1934 at Mt. Pleasant, where he had lived all his life.

He was graduated from Mt. Pleasant High School in 1953 and was a brick mason tender, employed by the Hoschek Construction Company at Burlington.

His father and mother preceded him in death.

Mr. Messer is survived by three brothers and one sister; Arden Messer of Fairfield, Robert of Washington, Roger of Mt. Pleasant and Mrs. Harvey (Ruth Ann) Snavely of Mt. Pleasant.

Funeral services will be at 2 p.m. Wednesday, June 23 at the First Baptist Church with Rev. Peter Siemens officiating. Interment will be in Forest Home cemetery.

Those who desire may contribute to the First Baptist Church in memory of Mr. Messer.
