Lillian Krieger

Mrs. Raymond (Lillian) Krieger, 59, 1207 E. Monroe, Mt. Pleasant, died unexpectedly Monday, March 7, 1983, at 2:50 a.m. at the Henry County Health Center.

She was born April 6, 1923, at Rome, the daughter of Frank and Mary Etta Scarff Swailes. On Oct. 28, 1939, at Kahoka, Mo., she married Raymond Krieger.

She was a member of the Rome Baptist Church and was employed at the Mental Health Institute.

Surviving are her husband; three sons, Jeff, Jerry, and John, all of Mt. Pleasant; three brothers, George Swailes, Roy Swailes and Wilson Swailes, all of Mt. Pleasant; one sister, Mrs. Blair (Florence) Gilbert, Ingleside, Ill.; four grandchildren.

Her parents, three brother and two sisters preceded her in death.

Funeral services will be held Wednesday, March 9, at 2 p.m. at the Beatty Funeral Home. The Rev. Bill Holbrook, pastor of the Lincoln Street Baptist Church, will officiate with interment in the Forest Home Cemetery.

The family will receive friends Tuesday, March 8, from 7 to 8:30 p.m. at the funeral home. Friends may call as they desire after 9 a.m. Tuesday. A memorial has been established for the Lincoln Street Baptist Church.
