Raymond Krieger

Raymond Howard Krieger, 81, of 1207 E. Monroe St., Mt. Pleasant, died at 4:40 p.m. Thursday, Sept. 14, 1995, at the Mapleleaf Health Care Center in Mt. Pleasant.

Born June 1, 1914, in Lake Benton, Minn., he was the son of John and Myrtle Wells Krieger. He married Lillian Swailes on Oct. 28, 1939, in Kahoka, Mo. She preceded him in death.

He was a U.S. Army veteran of WW II. He served in the Pacific Theater and received a Bronze Star.

He was a carpenter, helping to build several churches in Mt. Pleasant. He also belonged to the Carpenter's Union.

He was of the Baptist faith.

Survivors include three sons, Jerry, John and Jeffrey, all of Mt. Pleasant; four grandchildren; and two sisters, Marion Alliman of Wayland, and Loretta McVey of Sacramento, Calif.

He was also preceded in death by his parents; three brothers, Russell, Everett and Milton; and an infant sister, Marie.

Friends may call after noon today at the Beatty Funeral Home in Mt. Pleasant, where the family will be from 7 to 8 p.m.

Funeral services will be at 1:30 p.m. Saturday at the Beatty Funeral Home. Burial will be in Forest Lawn Cemetery.

A memorial has been established.
