BLOOMFIELD --- Omer L. Gholson, 77, of 207 N, Madison, died Saturday at 10:30 p.m. at the Davis county Hospital. He was a retired road construction worker.

He was born in Henry county Oct. 27, 1897, to George and Eliza Ann Haines Gholson. In 1949 he moved to Davis County and was affiliated with the Baptist Church.

On Feb. 20, 1918, he married Elsie Erickson. She died in 1948. He married Nava Pence April 7, 1949.

Surviving are his widow; three daughters, Mrs. Vera Alcher, Mrs. Dorothy Robertson and Mrs. Martha Leeper, and two sons, Edward and Elwin, all of Mt. Pleasant; two sisters, Mrs. Harvey Morrow of New London,and Mrs. Viola Anderson of Los Angeles, Calif.; two brothers, Joe, of Weed, Calif. and George of Rome, Iowa; eight grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren.

He also was preceded in death by three brothers and four sisters.

The service will be Tuesday at 10:30 a.m. at Wagler Funeral Home, with the Rev. Gordon Fisher officiating. Burial will be at 1 p.m. in Forest Home Cemetery at Mount Pleasant.

Visitation will be tonight from 7:30 to 8:30 p.m.
