Dona Church

Mrs. Willard (Dona) Church, 62, Mt. Pleasant, died at 4:10 a.m. Sunday, Sept. 27, 1992, at Mapleleaf Healthcare Center.

She was born Aug. 21, 1930, in Rome, the daughter of Simon and Eva Messer Swailes. On Oct. 11, 1958, she married Willard L. Church.

She was a telephone operator and a homemaker.

Survivors include her husband; one daughter, Mrs. Andy (Candi) Patterson, New London; one son, Jody Church, Mt. Pleasant; one brother, Rex Swailes, Mt. Pleasant; and one sister, Mrs. Richard (Becky) Van Winkle, Mt. Pleasant.

Preceding her in death were her parents and one daughter, Lee Ann.

Funeral services will be at 2 p.m. Wednesday, Sept. 30, at Beatty Funeral Home, with the Rev. Bill Wenig officiating. Interment will be in Forest Home Cemetery.

The family will receive friends from 7-8 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home where visitation will begin after 9 a.m. that day. A memorial has been established.
