James R. Cash

James R. Cash, 34, Coralville, formerly of Mt. Pleasant, died Saturday, Feb. 16, 1985, at 5:30 a.m. at Mercy hospital, Iowa City, from viral pneumonia.

He was born July 29, 1950, at Mt. Pleasant, the son of Lawrence and Ethel Scarff Cash.

Mr. Cash was the head correctional officer at the Oakdale Medical Security north of Iowa City. He attended Oakland Mills Community Church and was a graduate of Mt. Pleasant High School.

Surviving are his parents; one sister, Mrs. Jaye (Retha) Miller, Kirksville, Mo.; a niece and a nephew.

Funeral services will be held Tuesday, Feb. 19, at 2 p.m. at the Beatty Funeral Home, Mt. Pleasant. The Rev. Henry Ledbetter, pastor of the Oakland Mills Community Church, will officiate with interment in Forest Home Cemetery.

The family will receive friends Monday from 7 to 8 p.m. at the funeral home. A memorial has been established for the Oakland Mills Church or the Oakland Mills Ladies Aides.
