CARL I. SCARFF

Carl I. Scarff, 68, Route 2, Mount Pleasant, died Tuesday, August 7, 1979 at 5:30 a.m. at the Henry County Health Center.

He was born January 19, 1911 near Rome, the son of Walter and Ida Kinney Scarff. On December 19, 1931 he married Myra Neff.

Surviving are a daughter, Mrs. Dave (Shirley) Shawley of New Orleans, Louisianna; one granddaughter; and a sister, Mrs. Max (Vera) Wilson of Route 2, Mount Pleasant.

His parents and a brother, Lester, preceded him in death.

Mr. Scarff was a retired farmer.

Funeral services will be held Friday, August 10 at 2 p.m. at the Beatty Funeral Home, Mount Pleasant. The Rev. Frank Schultz will officiate with interment in White Oak Cemetery.

Friends may call after 9 a.m. Thursday at the Beatty Funeral Home. A memorial has been established to the White Oak Cemetery.

The family will receive friends Thursday from 7:30 to 9 p.m. at the funeral home.
