Donald Scarff

Donald D. Scarff, 61, of Route 3, Mount Pleasant, died at 4:50 p.m. Thursday, May 3, 1990, at the Henry County Health Center, Mount Pleasant.

Born June 2, 1928, in the White Oak community, he was the son of Harry and Bessie Ross Scarff. He married Thelma Graber Nov. 14, 1954, in Trenton.

He was a farmer and worked for 30 years at J.I. Case Co. He was a 1947 graduate of Mount Pleasant High School and was an Army veteran of the Korean War. He was a member of the White Oak Missionary Church.

Surviving are his wife; two sons, Keven Scarff, Brighton, and Rick Scarff, Wayland; two daughters, Mrs. Kristy (Rick) Anderson and Mrs. Sandra (Roger) Ernst, both of Mount Pleasant; his mother, Mount Pleasant; one brother, Douglas Scarff, Mount Pleasant; and seven grandchildren.

Friends may call after 4 p.m. Saturday with the family receiving friends from 2 to 3:30 p.m. Sunday at the Beatty-Wilkins Funeral Home, Mount Pleasant.

The service for Mr. Scarff will be 1:30 p.m. Monday at the First United Methodist Church, Mount Pleasant, with the Rev. Deb Kiesey officiating. Burial will be in the White Oak Cemetery.

Memorials have been established for the White Oak Church and Henry County Health Center.
