Monday, 16 June 1963Anna Sammons Rites On Tuesday
Mrs. Anna Sammons, 73, died Friday evening, June 7, at the home of her son, Clarence, at Rome.
Anna Ladica, daughter of Zion and Esta (Piper) Messer, was born in Henry county November 19, 1889. She was married to Ed Sammons, who predeceased her in 1954.
Also surviving is another son, Floyd, of Rome, one daughter, Mrs. Ina Manning, of Fairfield; three brothers, Orville Messer, Josephus Messer and Leo Messer all of Mt. Pleasant; one sister, Mrs. Otho Myers of New London; 13 grandchildren and 16 great-grandchildren.
One son, and two grandchildren also predeceased her.
The body was taken to the home, from the Barton-McKasson Funeral Home in Winfield, Monday morning.
Funeral services will be held Tuesday, June 11, at 2:30 DST, at the White Oak church. Rev. Marvin Engbrecht will officiate.
Interment will be in White Oak Cemetery.
