Death Comes To Glen Messer, 30

Death came early this morning to Glen Messer, 30, lifelong resident of Fairfield.

He passed away about 3:30 a.m. at the home of his parents, Mr. and Mrs. Elmer Messer, 602 S. Depot street. He had been in failing health for several years but his death this morning was sudden and unexpected.

Last rites will be Friday at 2 p.m. at the Weston Behner funeral home with the Rev. J. P. Foster officiating. Burial will be in the Oak cemetery north of Rome.

Glen Messer was born March 27, 1927, at Fairfield, the son of Elmer and Stella Hill Messer.

Besides his parents, he is survived by the following brothers and sisters: Mrs. Vernie Dollins, Davenport; Mrs. Lloyd Stanley, Davenport; Mrs. Harold Willick, Buffalo, Ia.; Mrs. Ernest Samuelson, Fairfield; Mrs. Vera Samuelson, Fairfield; Everett Messer, Fairfield; and Leonard Messer, New Sharon.
