LOCKRIDGE --- Noel Alvin McGuire, 73, passed away at his home near Lockridge early Monday morning, following an extended illness.
The body is at the Weir-Cookes Funeral Home in Mt. Pleasant where last rites will be held at 2 p.m. Thursday with Rev. Linwood L. Monte in charge. Burial will be in White Oak Cemetery.
Friends may call at the Funeral Chapel, Wednesday evening from 7:30 to 9:00 p.m.
Noel Alvin McGuire was born Nov. 22, 1897, in the Merrimac community. He was the son of Sam and Idella Tracy McGuire.
His marriage to Gertrude Caldwell took place Feb. 28, 1928. She survives.
Other survivors include two sisters, Mrs. Jess (Mildred) Bloomquist and Mrs. Grace Davis, Mt. Pleasant; two brothers, Ralph of Wayland and Faye, Trenton, also a number of nieces and nephews.
