Donald Ralph McClure, 60, 305 S. White, died at 3"55 p.m. Friday, Jan 11, 1974, at Henry County Memorial Hospital, Mt. Pleasant.
He was born Sept. 10, 1913, Henry County, the son of Ralph W. and Ada Pearl Lane McClure.
On March 31, 1968, he was married to Marie Elizabeth Walker in Iowa City. She survives.
Mr. McClure, a machine operator at the IAAP in Burlington was a member of the Moose Lodge, V.F.W., the American Legion, Eagles, and St. Alphonsus Catholic Church. He served in the Army in World War II.
Surviving in addition to his widow is his mother; one stepson, Edward DeVilbiss, Milwaukee, Wisc.; one stepdaughter, Mrs. Judy Burden, Mt. Pleasant; six grandchildren; two brothers, Carlos and Robert, both of Mt. Pleasant; and two sisters, Mrs. Werner (Alice) Smith and Mrs. Charles (Elsie) Swailes, both of Mt. Pleasant.
One sister and his father preceded him in death.
Funeral services will be at 10 a.m. Monday, Jan. 14, at St. Alphonsus Catholic Church. The Rev. Paul Albers will officiate with interment in White Oak Cemetery, Rome.
Friends may call at Weir-Cookes Funeral Home as they desire after 5 p.m. Saturday.
Rosary will be recited by the parish Sunday evening at 8 p.m. at the funeral home. The family will receive friends after the rosary.
