Mildred B. McClure

Mrs. Mildred B. McClure, 77, Mt. Pleasant, died Tuesday, Oct. 16, 1990, at 4'03 a.m. at Mercy Hospital, Iowa City.

She was born Dec. 18, 1913, in Rome, the daughter of Chauncy and Minnie Hill Fields. On Nov. 25, 1931, in Monmouth, Ill., she married Carlos McClure who preceded her in death Feb. 8, 1988.

She was a member of the Rome Baptist Church and attended the White Oak Missionary Church.

Survivors include three sons, John McClure, Holt, Mich., Dick McClure. Burlington, Ronald "Bill" McClure, Lockridge; four daughters, Mrs. Pete (Joan) Messer and Mrs. Robert (Phyllis) Scarff, both of Mt. Pleasant, Mrs. Kenneth (Betty) Burden, New London, and Mrs. Raymond (Mary) Gerst, Mediapolis; a sister, Mrs. Hazel Ireland, Texarcana, Texas; 18 grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren.

Also preceding her in death were two infant sons; a daughter, Margaret Ann; and a grandson, Tommy.

Funeral services will be held Tuesday, Oct. 18, at 2 p.m. at the First Baptist Church, Mt. Pleasant, with the Rev. Michael Moser officiating. Interment will be in White Oak Cemetery.

Visitation will begin after noon Wednesday at Beatty-Wilkins Funeral Home, Mt. Pleasant. A memorial has been established to the White Oak Cemetery or Hope Haven Development Center.
