Funeral Held here Monday

Funeral services were held Monday for Mrs. Iona Ensminger, 89, who died at 11:30 p.m. Friday at Bloomfield Silver Haven, where she had been a resident for about a year.

The funeral was conducted by the Rev. Everett McClellan at the Troy United church. Burial was in White Oak Cemetery. The Wellborn funeral Home in Milton was in charge of arrangements.

She was born January 15, 1881 in Henry County to James and Mary Messer Scarff, on December 20, 1889, she married George Ensminger, who preceded her in death.

Survivors include three daughters: Mrs. Roy Turner of Troy, Mrs. Dale Snodgrass of Cantril, and Mrs. Lee Johnson of Pulaski; two sons, Clyde of Troy and Everett of Boswell, Indiana; six grandchildren; thirteen great-grandchildren.

Besides her husband, she was preceded in death by four brothers and five sisters.
