Samuel Gholson

Samuel Gholson, 82, died a Memorial Hospital Tuesday, Feb. 11, about 6 p.m.

The son of George and Eliza Ann (Haines) Gholson, he was born May 13, 1886 in Henry County. He was a lifelong resident of Henry County and Mt. Pleasant, and was engaged in farming.

Mr. Gholson never married.

Survivors include three sisters and three brothers, Mrs. Viola Anderson of Los Angeles, Calif., Mrs. Fred (Millie) Morrow of Mt. Pleasant, Mrs. Harvey (Pearl) Morrow of New London, Joe Gholson of Weed, Calif., Omar Gholson of Bloomfield, and George Gholson of Rome.

Graveside services will be held in the Richwood Cemetery Friday, Feb. 14, at 2 p.m. the family and friends will meet at the Crane-Ewart-Young funeral Home at 1:30.

Friends may call at the Crane-Ewart-Young Funeral Home as they desire.
