George W. Gholson, 79, Mapleleaf Healthcare Center, formerly of Rome, died Thursday, Nov. 20, 1980 at 4:30 p.m. at the Henry County Health Center.
He was born May 11, 1901 in Henry County, the son of George and Eliza Haines Gholson.
Mr. Gholson was of the Baptist faith and a retired farmer.
Surviving are several nieces and nephews.
His parents, six sisters and five brothers preceded him in death.
Graveside services will be held Monday, Nov. 24, at 1:30 p.m. at the Richwoods Cemetery. The Rev. Charles Comfort, pastor of the First Baptist Church, will officiate. Friends may call as they desire after 1 p.m. Sunday at the Beatty Funeral Home, Mt. Pleasant.
