Lois M. Johnson

Lois M. Johnson, 62, 102 S. Van Buren St., Mount Pleasant, died at 2:43 a.m. Thursday, February 11, 1993, at the Henry County Health Center.

She was born March 6, 1930, at Mount Pleasant to Lee Roy and Cora A. Fickel Scarff.

A self-employed tailor and seamstress, she had worked at the Pleasant Manor Care Center in Mount Pleasant. She had managed the Veteran's Club and the Moose. She was a member of St. Michael's Episcopal Church in Mount Pleasant, the V.F.W. and the America Legion Auxiliaries, Women of the Moose, and the Eagles Club at Burlington.

She is survived by three sons, Dennis R. of Mount Pleasant, Rick A. of Tucson , Arizona, and Shan E. of Kansas City; one daughter, Cindy Walker of Frisco, Texas; two grandchildren; one great-grandchild; and three sisters, Ruby Campbell of Mount Pleasant, Ada Hendricks of rural Mount Pleasant and Helen Bouge of Bellevue, Nebraska.

She was preceded in death by her parents and one brother, George E. Scarff.

Visitation will be held from noon to 9 p.m. Sunday and after 5 p.m. Monday at the Wier Funeral Home where the family will receive friends from 7 to 8:30 p.m Monday.

Requiem Holy Eucharist will be held at 1:40 a.m. Tuesday, February 16, at St. Michael's Episcopal Church in Mount Pleasant with the Rev. Wayne Kamm officiating. Interment will be in Richwood Cemetery northwest of Mount Pleasant

Memorials have been established to Richwood Cemetery or St. Michael's Episcopal Church.
