Monday Evening, 16 November 1953Everett Grubb Taken By Death
----------John Everett Grubb, 63, of 804 East Monroe street, passed away at Memorial hospital Monday at 8 a.m. following a heart attack suffered earlier in the morning. He was born Feb. 25, 1890 in Mt. Pleasant, the son of John and Olive (Collins) Grubb.
On Sept. 4, 1912 he was married to Edith Graff in Mt. Pleasant. He had worked for several years as a ward attendant at the Mental Health Institute.
Besides his wife, he is survived by a daughter, Mrs. Grace Morrow of Mt. Pleasant, a sister, Mrs. Laura Byers of Salem, and three grandsons. Two sons and one brother preceded him in death.
Services for Mr. Grubb will be held at the Cookes-Lunning Home Wednesday at 2 p.m. Interment will be in Richwoods cemetery. The body will be taken to the residence Tuesday morning at 9 o’clock.
