Martha J. Combs

Martha J. Combs, 59, Burlington, died Thursday, Oct. 6, 1988, at Burlington Medical Center.

She was born Aug. 17, 1929, in Mt. Pleasant to George and Maggie Hoover. She married Dennis Dean Combs Aug. 2, 1947, in Mt. Pleasant.

She is survived by five children, all of Burlington; two brothers and two sisters, including locally, Earl Hoover, Mrs. John (Pauline) Morrow, and Mrs. Donald (Edith) Brown, all of Mt. Pleasant and 11 grandchildren.

Graveside services will be held 1 p.m., Monday, Oct. 10 at Richwood Cemetery, Mt. Pleasant, with Chaplain Richard Gilbert. There will be no family visitation. Friends may call at the Lunning Chapel, Burlington, Sunday afternoon and evening.
