MT. PLEASANT - Mrs. Bernice Carver, 73, Mt. Pleasant Rt. 4, died in Henry County Health Center at 1:04 a.m. Wednesday, Sept. 22.
She was born March 23, 1909, in Marion Township to Lewis A. and Mary M. Parker Smith. She married Frank Carver Feb. 12, 1927, at Lockridge.
She had worked for Kinney Grocery, Whaley Nursing Home and Henry County Health Center.
Surviving: The husband; four sons, Kenneth, Wayland, Arnold, rural Mt. Pleasant, and twins Ronald and Donald, Mt. Pleasant; four daughters, Bertha Thrasher, Cheney, Wash., Elizabeth Koch, Spokane, Wash., Barbara Cutts, Humboldt, and Beatrice Hummell, Mt. Pleasant; 24 grandchdildren; and 12 great-grandchildren.
Funeral: 10.30 a.m. Saturday at Weir Funeral Home, the Rev. Charles Courtney; Lambirth Cemetery. A memorial has been established for Lambirth Cemetery Association.
