Frank Carver

Frank Carver, 90, of Route 4, Mount Pleasant, died at 4:08 a.m. Sunday, Feb. 17, 1991, at the Henry County Health Center.

Born Aug. 6, 1900, in Mount Pleasant, he was the son of George and Ida M. Blythe Carver. He married Delpha Berniece Smith Feb. 12, 1927, north of Mount Pleasant. She died, Sept. 22, 1982.

He was the sexton of the Forest Home Cemetery, Mount Pleasant, for 25 years. He farmed west of Oakland Mills most of his life. He was affiliated with the Church of the Open Bible in Mount Pleasant.

Surviving are one son, Arnold "Art" Carver, rural Mount Pleasant; four daughters, Beatrice Hummell, rural Mount Pleasant, Mrs. Barbara (Thomas) Cutts, Hamilton, Ill., and Mrs. Bertha (Phillip) Thrasher and Mrs. Elizabeth (Dennis) Koch, both of Spokane, Wash.; one sister, Mrs. May (Irvin) Eckwald, Keosauqua; 24 grandchildren; and 33 great-grandchildren.

Friends may call after noon Tuesday with the family receiving friends from 7 to 8 p.m. at the Weir Funeral Home, Mount Pleasant.

The service for Mr. Carver will be 2 p.m. Wednesday at the Church of the Open Bible in Mount Pleasant with the Revs. Ronald and Jeanne Lambert officiating. Burial will be in the Lambirth Cemetery, southwest of Rome.

A memorial has been established to the Henry County Health Center.
