Mary Ellen Runnells, 37, Broken Arrow, Okla., formerly of Danville, died Sunday, March 24, at Tulsa, Okla., after a lengthy illness.
She was born Feb. 11, 1948, at Burlington, to Glenn and Alta Garrels Dockendorff.
She was a graduate of Iowa Wesleyan College. She was a school teacher at Grace Fellowship Christian School, Tulsa. She was a member of the Grace Fellowship Church, Tulsa.
Surviving: One daughter, Julie Runnells, Broken Arrow; her parents, Glenn and Alta Dockendorff, Danville; a grandmother, Edna Garrels, Mt. Pleasant; and two sisters, Peggy Overley, Burlington, and Kay Wulf, Sand Springs, Okla.
A memorial for her church has been established. Services are pending at the Elliott Chapel, New London.

NEW LONDON - Services for Mrs. Mary Ellen Runnells, 37, Tulsa, Okla., formerly of Danville, who died Sunday, March 24, will be held at the Elliott Chapel at 2 p.m. Thursday, the Rev. Gordon McMillan officiating. Burial will be in Jaggar Cemetery. A memorial to Grace Fellowship Church of Tulsa has been established.
