DOROTHY L. MCFARLAND

Dorothy L. McFarland, 84, of Keosauqua died at 8:50 A.M. Thursday, Feb. 10, 2000 at Van Buren County Hospital, Keosauqua. She was born Jan. 23, 1916 in Davis County to Leo Guy and Lula Curts Boley. She married H. Orville Davis April 27, 1941 near Birmingham. He died in 1976. She married Keith McFarland Sept. 2, 1979 in Keosauqua. He died in 1989.

She graduated from Packwood High School and lived near Packwood, in Ozark County and Revere, MO, Lockridge, rural Van Buren County, and moved to Keosauqua in 1993.

She was a member of the Keosauqua United Methodist Church and United Methodist Women, Hillsboro American Legion Auxiliary and Lockridge Keep Young Club. Surviving are a brother, Leo G. Boley, Jr. of Keosauqua and his wife, Betty, and nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents, a son, Gail Lee Davis who lost his life while serving his country in Viet Nam in 1965, a sister, Frances Dooley and two brothers, David and Kenneth Boley.

Funeral services were held at 10 A.M. Monday, Feb. 14, 2000 in the Keosauqua United Methodist Church, Rev. Judith Shields officiating. Burial was in Hillsboro Cemetery.
