Ruby A. Davis

HILLSBORO--Ruby A. Davis, 90, Hillsboro, died at 4:30 p.m. Monday, Oct. 11, 1993, Van Buren County Hospital in Keosauqua.

The service will be a 1 p.m. Thursday at Hillsboro Christian Church with the Rev. David Callen officiating. Open visitation begins at noon Wednesday at Beaty Funeral Home in Mount Pleasant with the family present from 7 to 8 that evening. Memorials have been established to Hillsboro and Stockport Christian Churches.

Mrs. Davis was born Oct. 9, 1903, at Stockport, the daughter of Elmer and Martha Brown Watson. She married Willis I. Davis on Feb. 24, 1926 in Ottumwa. He died July 25, 1971. She was a homemaker and a member of the former Big Cedar Christian Church.

Surviving are two daughters, Norma Manley of Fairfield, Erma Brombaugh of Hillsboro; nine grandchildren; two stepgrandchildren and 10 step-great-grandchildren. A daughter, Betty Ann Thorton and two bothers, Cleo Watson and Ray Watson, preceded her in death.
