Harley Orville Davis, 65, a former resident of Hillsboro, died in Veteran's Hospital, Iowa City, at 6:30 p.m. Tuesday, January 20.
He had been living at Revere, Missouri. The son of Riley M. and Lillian Ramey Davis, he was born June 9, 1910, in Jefferson County. He married Dorothy Boley, April 27, 1941, at Birmingham. He was a veteran of World War II.
Surviving: The wife; brother, Burcie, Irvington; and two sisters, Lela Stephens, Batavia, and Lucille DeGood, Abingdon.
Services were held at the Hillsboro Baptist Church at 2 p.m. Saturday, January 24, 1976, with the Rev. L. H. Smith officiating. Burial with military rites was in Hillsboro Cemetery. Beatty-Jennings Chapel of Salem was in charge of arrangements.
