Mrs. Chester Mills

Mrs. Chester (Leora) Mills, 73, Rt. 4, Mt. Pleasant, died Sunday, Aug. 10, 1980 at 6:40 p.m. at her home.

She was born June 5, 1907 at Keosauqua, the daughter of Fred and Nancy McBride Riley. On Nov. 29, 1924 she married Chester Mills at Fairfield.

Surviving are her husband, four sons, Leo of Salem, Jerry of Mt. Pleasant, Eugene of Pocahontas and Rilla Dean of Fullerton, Calif.; nine grandchildren; three great-grandchildren.

Her parents and twin brothers, Floyd and Ernest preceded her in death,

Funeral services will be held Thursday, Aug. 14 at 1:30 p.m. at the Salem Friends Church: Pastor William Strickland and Pastor Lewis Savage will officiate with interment in Cedar Creek Cemetery northwest of Salem.

The family will receive friends Wednesday from 7:30 to 9 p.m. at the Beatty Funeral Home, Mt. Pleasant.

Friends may call as they desire after 9 a.m. Wednesday at Beatty Funeral Home, Mt. Pleasant.

A memorial has been established for the Cedar Creek Cemetery Association.
