Myrtle Lund, 92, passed away May 22, 1982 at 6:15 p.m. at Parkview Home, Wayland, where she had been a resident for eight years.
She was born August 28, 1889 at Swedesburg, the daughter of Gust and Hilema Lauger Lund. She was a retired music teacher and a member of the Swedesburg Evangelical Lutheran Church.
Surviving are two nieces, Mrs. Robert (Marie) Wray of Cedar Rapids, and Miss Marcile Lund of Mt. Pleasant, many great nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, two brothers, Rudolph and Walter Lund and a sister, Edah Lund.
Funeral services were held Tuesday, May 25, 1982 at 2 p.m. from the Swedesburg Evangelical Lutheran Church with the Rev. Matthew Martens in charge.
Music was by organist Mrs. Duayne Benson and a duet by Vincent and Arnold Lindeen. Casket bearers were David Johanson, R.L. Chrisinger, Raymond Schlatter, Paul E. Anderson, Ferdinand Larson, LaVerne Hult.
Interment was in the Swedesburg Evangelical Lutheran Church Cemetery. A memorial has been established for the Swedesburg Evangelical Lutheran Church. Arrangements were by Beatty Funeral Home of Mt. Pleasant.
