Laura A. Carlson passed away Friday morning, June 23, 1978 at Pleasant Manor Care Center in Mt. Pleasant.
The daughter of George N. and Mary (Binder) Gregory, she was born April 8, 1890 at Winfield.
She was married to Charles E. Carlson on January 28, 1914 at Winfield. He passed away September 2, 1954.
She was a member of the Swedesburg Evangelical Lutheran Church, the L.C.W., the Winfield V.F.W. Auxiliary, and a charter member of the Lincoln Hall club.
She is survived by one daughter, Mrs. LaVerne (Harriet) Hult of Swedesburg; seven grandchildren; seven great grandchildren; and a daughter-in-law, Mrs. Vivian Carlson of Davenport.
She was also preceded in death by one son, Loren and five sisters.
Funeral services were held at the Swedesburg Evangelical Lutheran Church with Pastor Delmas Carstens officiating, at 2 p.m., Monday, June 26.
Mrs. Duayne Benson was organist and Mrs. Waldo Bloom, soloist.
Casket bearers were Jack Nelling, Clayton Molander, John Alvine, Harold W. Olson, John Hinkle and Orville Pounds.
Interment was in Swedesburg Cemetery, Swedesburg, Iowa.
Barton-McKasson Funeral Home, Winfield, was in charge of arrangements.
