Mrs. Oscar Abrahamson, 89, died at Memorial Hospital, Mt. Pleasant, Iowa, Thursday evening May 20, 1965 after a short illness.

Elizabeth Amelia, daughter of August Johnson and Christina Johnson, was born March 31, 1876 at Ottumwa.

She was a member of the Swedesburg Lutheran Church and has resided in Swedesburg and the vicinity since 1900.

On March 29, 1900 she was married to Oscar Abrahamson, who survives.

Also surviving are one son and one daughter, Paul Abrahamson of Winfield, Route 1, and Mrs. Edward (Margaret) Carlson of Ontonagon, Mich; 12 grandchildren, 16 great-grandchildren; two sisters, Mrs. Minnie Shirk of Douds and Eunice Johnson of Swedesburg.

Funeral services were held at 2 p.m. Saturday, May 22, at the Swedesburg Lutheran Church. Rev. Arnold V. Thoren, pastor of the Swedesburg Lutheran Church officiated.

Burial in the Swedesburg Cemetery.
