Word has been received of the death of Thure Anton Nordquist at Clearwater, Fla., Tuesday evening October 15, 1974. He had been hospitalized four weeks with a heart attack and blood clots.

He was born in Minneapolis, Minn., December 20, 1896, the son of Anna Katherine Vickstom and Alfred Nordquist, who moved to Swedesburg and later to Olds where he received his education. He was confirmed in the Swedesburg Lutheran church, Swedesburg, Iowa.

He enlisted in the Marines at the age of 20 and was wounded in battle.

He and his wife, Elizabeth Oliver celebrated their 55th wedding anniversay in September.

Surviving are his wife, a son, Richard of Amarillo, Texas, four grandsons and one great granddaughter; two sisters, Ruth Barnes of Los Altos, Calif., and Florence Canby, Mt. Union. An older sister, Essie, died ten weeks ago.
