Mrs. Bert Condey Taken By Death
New London- Mrs. Josephine Condey, 55, former local resident, passed away Monday evening at 8:00 p.m. at the Iowa Soldiers Home in Marshallton, which she had entered last November.

Born at Ottumwa, March 5, 1892, the daughter of Daniel Smith and Melissa (Russell) Smith, she married Bert Condey at Sioux City, November 13, 1924.

Mr. and Mrs. Condey came to live at New London at the time the CCC camp was established and after its closing continued to make their home here. Mr. Condey who was employed at the IOP died Aug. 5, 1942. Mrs. Condey leaves no survivors.

Funeral services will be held at the McDonald Funeral Home, Wednesday afternoon at 2:00 p.m. with Rev. Frank Sutton, pastor of the Church of Christ officiating.

Burial will be in Burge Cemetery.
