Mary Linder
Mary Jane Linder, 89, of New London died Sunday, July 20, 2008, at Greater Regional Medical Center in Creston.

Born Aug. 11, 1918, in Mount Union, she was the daughter of Clifford and Blanche McCosh Little. On Oct. 10, 1931, she married Dale Linder in Mount Pleasant. He died Jan. 7, 1997.

Mrs. Linder was a partner with her husband in Linder Co., Mary Dayle Ranch and Mary Dayle Development Co. She was a 1936 graduate of New London High School. She was of the Baptist faith. She enjoyed traveling and Phoenix Suns basketball.

Survivors include one daughter, Dayle Nicole Linder Warth of New London; three grandchildren; and 13 great-grandchildren.

Besides her husband, she was preceded in death by her parents, two brothers and two sisters.

Visitation will be from noon to 8 p.m. Wednesday at Elliott Chapel in New London where the family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m.

The funeral for Mrs. Linder will be at 10:30 a.m. Thursday at Elliott Chapel with the Rev. Rod Cooper officiating. Burial will be in Burge Cemetery in New London.

A memorial has been established for the New London Rescue Unit.
