Ronald Prickett
Ronald George Prickett, 70, of New London died Tuesday, June 10, 2008, at Henry County Health Center in Mount Pleasant.

Born Oct. 1, 1937, north of New London, he was the son of Virgil George and Helen Frances Swan Prickett. On Dec. 26, 1970, he married Rosemarie Heaton Barnes in Salem.

Mr. Prickett was in quality assurance at Cargill in Mount Pleasant for 41 years. He was a 1956 graduate of Mount Pleasant High School. He served in the Army Reserves. He was of the Christian faith and attended New London Christian Church. He enjoyed fishing, gardening, bowling, yard work, the Hawkeyes and the Cardinals.

Survivors include his wife; one son, Alven E. Barnes of Butte, Mont.; two daughters, Rebecca A. Snyder of Glendale, Ariz., and Angel R. Prickett of Mount Pleasant; four grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren; his mother of Salem; three sisters, Shirley Giberson of Hillsboro, Judy George of Hamilton, Ill., and Barb Prickett of Salem; two brothers, Gary Prickett of Burlington, and Randy Prickett of Salem; nieces and nephews.
