Christopher Dean Davis, 23, of Wayland died Wednesday, Feb. 20, 2008, as a result of a car accident.

Born March 6, 1984, in Daytona Beach, Fla., he was the son of Dallas and Tia DeNicolo Davis. He lived in Daytona, until moving back to Iowa several months ago.

Mr. Davis worked at his family's restaurant and Saddles Steak House in Wayland.

Survivors include his fiancée, Kala Holtkamp of New London; one daughter, Nina Mae Davis of Florida; parents, Dallas Davis of Mount Dora, Fla. and Tia Hamm of Wayland; four brothers, Dustin Hamm of Rockford, Ill., Benjamin Hamm of Wayland, and Michael and Charlie Clark, both of Mount Dora; four sisters, Nicole Davis of New London, Jessica Davis of Ainsworth, Jessica Gail Hamm of Rockford and Tiffany Brady of Orange City, Fla; and grandparents.

He was preceded in death by his maternal grandparents, paternal grandfather and two maternal uncles.

Visitation will be from 2 to 8 p.m. Sunday at Murphy Funeral Home in Mount Pleasant.

The funeral for Mr. Davis will be at 1:30 p.m. Monday at Murphy Funeral Home in Mount Pleasant. Burial will follow in Forest Home Cemetery in Mount Pleasant.

A memorial has been established.
