Double Funeral for Victims of Crash

A double funeral for two relatives who were killed in a traffic accident Saturday night will be held Wednesday at St. John church at 10 a.m., Frs. Bash, Finken and Anthony Reilman officiating.

Ronald Charles Cornick, 27, and his 14 year-old sister-in-law, Celia Maria Laue, will be buried in Sacred Heart cemetery.

The rosary for the two relatives will be recited at Elliot-Lunning chapel at 7:30 p.m. Tuesday.

Mr. Cornick was the son of Helen Wolf Cornick and the late Harry Cornick, and was born May 16, 1943, in Henry County. He married Linda Laue in Burlington on July 15, 1967. He was an employee of J.I. Case Co.

Mr. Cornick's home was at Kingston, where he was a member of St. Mary church. He had served with the U.S. Army in Vietnam and was a member of the VFW.

Survivng: The wife, his mother, of New London, two sisters, Mrs. Darla Dodd, Charles City, and Mrs. Joyce Tedrow, Burlington; half-brother, Marvin Cornick, Mt. Pleasant rural, and half-sister Mrs. Doris Brent of Des Moines.

Miss Laue was the daughter of Delbert E. and Lillian E. West Laue of 2124 Ridge Row.

Her death came two days after her fourteenth birthday - she was born July 23, 1956, in Burlington.

A freshman at Notre Dame high school, she was a member of St. John church and of Girl Scout Troop 22 and Unity Cloverleaf of 4-H club.

Surviving: The parents; a brother, and four sisters; Gregory, Sandra, and Susan Laue; all at home; Mrs. Janice Cheney, Burlington, and Mrs. Linda Cornick of Kingston, and grandmother, Mrs. Myrtle West of Burlington.
