John "Rex" Beauchamp, 63, of Crawfordsville died Monday afternoon, February 26, 1973, while working two miles south of Ainsworth. He had not been well for some tine, but death was sudden and unexpected.
He was born December 22, 1909 in Henry County, the son of Ralph A. and Ruth E. Timmons Beauchamp. He was reared and educated in the Wyman and Crawfordsville communities. He had lived in Crawfordsville for 19 years and in Washington County most of his life.
Rex was the operator of Crawfordsville Rendering Service and was a member of the United Methodist Church, Crawfordsville.
He is survived by his wife, Mable; one son Jerry Beauchamp of Washington; two grandsons; and his mother, Mrs. Ruth Beauchamp of Mt. Pleasant. He was preceded in death by his father.
Funeral services were held at 2 P.M. Wednesday, February 28, 1973 at Jones Funeral home in Washington. Rev. Robert Wilcox officiated. Burial was in Beauchamp Cemetery.
